I think Capt. Amrinder Singh (Chief Minister, Punjab) is doing a wonderful job.

He definitely need appreciation for this. People like Badals, there are many other corrupt so called Sikh Jarnails are still out. They also need to be disciplined. Think about such a huge money --more than 4000 Crore rupees--wow. I would like to ask Parkash Singh Badal if God blessed him with such a huge amount of money while he was born !!!!!!!!!! It is the money of all Punjabis who worked hard day and night but been stolen by these people in smart way--providing jobs based on money.

Well I am not much into this politics as I am a scientist but one of famous scientist from PAU visited us in USA 4-5 years ago and he was telling how his family gave bribe to the wife of Parkash Singh for appointing his nephew as BDO. Well there are many other things which I want to share with the readers about these so called owners of Sikh religion but may be some other time.

I was reading sometime in 5abi.com in which some "CHAMCHA" --sorry for this word but I want to say because they deserve that name(I think it Dhindsa, some minister in central govt) of Badals was saying" Badal has sacrificed his whole life for Sikh panth"---It just made me laugh---yea you're right !!!!!!!!!!!. I would like to ask that gentleman that please list specifically any one sacrifice Badals made for Sikh panth otherwise we all know how Badal family got advantage of Sikh Panth for whole of his family. It is really disappointing to say that Badals or SAD are using crooked ways to gain power or votes. Don't take me wrong--I am a Sikh but it hurts me to see how these leaders are misusing our religion. I have great sympathy for 84 riots and the people who suffered. But these leaders have not spared even those people. Still after that many years, whenever SAD is in power, there is no talk about 84 riots, no Punjab water issue, no Chandigarh issue which in fact a normal Punjabi has nothing to do with these issues except for the sympathy for 84 riot victims but these issue light up whenever the election come close--GIVE ME A BREAK !!!!!!!!!!!

Few days ago, I was reading news on 5abi.com and came to know that SGPC members gave all the rights to just one person "Parkash Singh Badal" to decide to whom to appoint in committee, to take any decision for any appointment within SGPC. If they want to do like this all the time--they don't want to use their brain to decide on issues, appointments, then what is their use. Why we having these members? Dissolve these members and let one person rule--just Badals. Honestly, that reminds me the statement of one of my professor back in India when I was an undergraduate. He used to quote " ALTHOUGH WE GOT INDEPENDENCE BUT WE ARE STILL SLAVES MENTALLY". That's not what our "Gurus" gave us the message. I think there is a real need for the intellectuals to come up and save our Sikh religion and Punjab from the hold of these so called Sikh leaders. It is unfortunate to say that.

Anyway, I don't know if the motive of Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amrinder Singh is personal or not but I would definitely say whatever he is doing for this corruption, there was a NEED for it. Thanks Punjab Chief Minister and try to discipline other corrupts too.

Before I quit, I have a suggestion for Mr. Tohra also. Tohra sahib, you are like my grandfather--but please retire from such a prestigious position of SGPC president. There need to be some kind of satisfaction at last. In reality, your health don't allow you at this time. It is scientifically fact that brain activity reduces with age specially after 50 years. Let some young ones come up and give them a chance but not the SONS of existing leaders--- as they haven't suffered the hard life.

Pakistan has functioned as a willing satellite of imperialism, initially British, and subsequently America.President of Pakistan is not elected by the people of Pakistan, he is self styled and self elected President. According to Pakistan constitution any time he can dissolve Parliament and dismiss Prime minister JAMALI.

Three wars have already taken place between India and Pakistan. The first war , over Kashmir , took place immediately after independence, and ended with a most unstable cease-fire line carving up the living body of Kashmiri people, and thus reproducing the partition of India with the partition of Kashmir. The second war in 1965 was only settled by the mediation of Soviet Union leading to the joint declaration at TASHKENT in 1966. The third war was in 1971 , new country emerged as Bangladesh. Indian Government again did agreement and declaration of SHIMLA. Indian government defeated Pakistan and its Mujahidins terrorist and foreign mercenaries.After the decisive rebuff on the Afghanistan front all the weapons which were piled up for use by the Mujahiddins against Kabul regime have been diverted to Kashmir. So we Indians are in for more trouble, both quantitively and qualitatively.

Now again and again Pakistan dictator is giving threat to India about ISLAMIC NUCLEAR BOMB. far more difficult has been the path for the people of Pakistan ,in their striving for democratic development Pakistan was established by its constitution on a theoretic basis as an ' Islamic Republic'.

In India a very considerable democratic advance has been achieved during this half century. A secular democratic republic is established, with universal suffrage, a functioning parliament, regular elections and wide range of freedom of expression,press, meeting and organization (Like Muslim party , Muslim league etc.),despite negative features of various special powers.

In international affairs India has pursued a consistent general line of non-alignment, resisting all the attempts at involvement in the various imperialist military alliance , recently even peace participation of Indian Army in Iraq.Indian government resisted war glamour and sought to the last for political solution peacefully.

Indian always believe peaceful coexistence with all neighbors. But Indian have been cheated not once , several times by Pakistan dictators. should we trust Pakistan Dictator again ?If Mr.Surjeet is optimistic about Pakistan attitude , then wait and see.The aim needed to be concentrate on peaceful democratic development on both states, and for friendly peaceful development.

I would like to add that when these singers visit the west whether it is Europe or North America we should vote with our feet and not go their concerts or buy the tape or cd. When we (NRI) visit Panjab we the first ones to pay thousands of rupees to get these singers to play at our weddings and hand over wads of notes to show off during the concert. This is why every Panjabi these days wants to be a singer, its easy pickings. We the public also have a duty, if we vote with our pockets then these singers will eventually realise that "eh jo Panjabi Maa boli te Panjabi sabiachar di seva kar rehe hun oh lokkan nu kabool nahi."

I disagree with this article , because we can't blame INNOCENT Indian masses( kissan ,mazdoor) for everything.

a. firstly, our society is class society which is based on man to man explotation. Indian masses 40% are living below poverty lines and still 60% illiteracy prevailed in our society. In globalisation poor country are getting poorer and rich country due to exploitation globaly are geting richer.

b. The complexity of our social structure is such that those who succeed can hide their corruption . Corruption is seen only when someone fails.If you succeed no one will know that you have been corrupt; success will hide everything. You have only to succeed and you will become pinnacle of goodness - you will become everything that is pure , good , innocent. That means you can succeed in any way you like, but you must succeed. Once you succeed, once you are successful, nothing that you may have done is wrong .

c.This has been true throughout history and even after independence. A person is only a thief or corrupt if he is a small thief. If he is a great thief (like Laloo Rawri, Jailalita, Narsimha rao, AND LOT OF OTHERS )then he becomes an Alexandra the Great, a HERO. No one ever sees that there is no qualitative difference between the two, that it is only a quantitative difference. No one will call you Alexandra a great thief because the measure of your goodness is success: the more success you are, the more good. Means are only questioned if you are a failure, then you will be called both corrupt and fool.

d.This sitiation is a human creation. We have created a society (class society )with a mad rush for wealth,corrupt power & politics; we go on supporting it, and then we ask why there is corruption.Unless we change the very foundation of society there is bound to be corruption , there always has been corruption. Forms have changed , but the corruption has remained because we have not yet created a society in which corruption is impossible.

e. Our society has been made by us - we are the architects of it. And because the foundation of it is wrong , because the base upon which we have built all our society's is not scientific, it is bound to be corrupt. We can change it or we can prolong- it depends on us.A bloodless transition is what we( Indian Masses) would like and we should strive for it, but what will happen will depend on the srength of the masses.and we are for the transition of democratic revolution in the direction of scientific society . We must rely on the strength  of sleeping Indian massess.

I have read this article, and it proves to me that Sikhs are their own worst enemy. We rely too much on India. One sad thing I have learnt about Indians is that we are selfish and only care about ourselves, not our communities. American Sikhs have to help themselves, an old proverb of God, and a true one. Until they can ignore India and unite under one American Sikh leader, regardless of cast, they will always be treated this way. We suffer the same lethargy disease in the UK.

.... Sikhs in America will only be noticed if Hollywood wants them to be. The Sikhs are Muslims in American eyes, because unlike Muslims, Christeans and Jews, we have never bothered forcing Hollywood ( let alone bollywood) to make movies about us.
